BohLand | The journey of a restless pathfinder.

| Discover more about me.

Hi, I’m Alessia – the writer and photographer behind BohLand. I'm originally from South Tyrol, in Northern Italy, and Slovakia, and I’ve been on the road since I was a child.

Growing up close to the Dolomites, that’s where my love for nature and the outdoors started.

In 2019, I moved to Europe’s Northernmost point, the North Cape in Norway, where I am currently working in the tourism industry. This spontaneous decision was driven by curiosity and a thirst for adventure.

I’m a self-proclaimed ‘restless pathfinder’, always on the lookout for my next destination and refusing to follow the conventional route.

When I’m not working, you can find me ski touring, hiking, capturing moments through photography and videography, or planning my next travel escapade.

| About BohLand.

BohLand started as a journal during stormy days in the Arctic, where I shared my experiences exploring the world. Reflecting on my travels gives me a deeper appreciation for my journey.

I enjoy writing ‘In-depth’ destination guides and highlighting hidden gems. Here, you'll find inspiration and handy tips for your next adventure.

Travelling is the best kind of education, so get lost, leave your comfort zone, and explore the world with me!

| My travelling journey.

My journey as a traveler has evolved over the years. I began solo, seeking new experiences in unusual places.

Today, I'm drawn to destinations that offer a blend of culture, adventure, and personal growth.

I've visited 39 countries so far, and some places have stuck with me more than others. The Himalayas, specifically Ladakh, Nepal, and Bhutan, were incredibly impactful. Peru is another country that’s close to my heart, and I’m planning to go back next autumn. This time, I’ll be hiking the Huayhuash Trek, a 115 km adventure in the Andes, followed by some well-deserved relaxation in Costa Rica.
